Ensure accurate assembly with our clamping sleeves, supplied with locknuts and locking devices. Available in metric, imperial or custom sizes, these sleeves allow easy installation and removal using a hydraulic process. With oil ports, they are essential accessories for bearings to ensure optimum performance in a wide range of applications.

The introduction of oil through the bores and grooves creates an oil film on the mating surfaces between the sleeve and the bearing. This reduces friction and significantly reduces the forces required for mounting. The bearing slides more easily onto the taper, minimising the risk of surface damage. In addition, independently operable oil inlets for the inner and outer oil grooves facilitate movement of the entire sleeve and bearing assembly after installation.
When oil is forced through the holes and grooves between the sleeve and bearing or between the shaft and sleeve, the bearing to sleeve and sleeve to shaft connections are loosened. As the press fit is released abruptly, the axial movement of the sleeve must be limited by a nut or stop.

Sleeves simplify the assembly of tapered bore bearings, eliminating the need for shrink-fitting cylindrical bore bearings onto the shaft.
The positioning can be adjusted (even retrospectively) by moving the connection between the clamping sleeve and shaft with hydraulic assistance.
The hydraulic method simplifies both the assembly and disassembly processes
The bearing clearance is adjustable with the use of sleeves, easily fine-tuned with hydraulics, as the generated oil film between the bearing and sleeve reduces assembly forces.
The sleeve can protect the shaft in the event of damage
If a shaft requires reworking, using a bearing with a special bore is necessary. The sleeve provides a cost-effective and promptly deliverable alternative, adaptable to the specific intermediate sizes of the shaft based on customer requirements, even in cases of unconventional sleeve bore the customer extends the service life of the bearing and the shaft saves the customer assembly and disassembly costs.
