The Taconite seal is the most effective solution for protection against water, mud, and coarse contamination. The lubrication port allows the labyrinth to be filled with grease, further enhancing the sealing performance.

The introduction of oil through the bores and grooves creates an oil film on the mating surfaces between the sleeve and the bearing. This reduces friction and significantly reduces the forces required for mounting. The bearing slides more easily onto the taper, minimising the risk of surface damage. In addition, independently operable oil inlets for the inner and outer oil grooves facilitate movement of the entire sleeve and bearing assembly after installation.
When oil is forced through the holes and grooves between the sleeve and bearing or between the shaft and sleeve, the bearing to sleeve and sleeve to shaft connections are loosened. As the press fit is released abruptly, the axial movement of the sleeve must be limited by a nut or stop.

Particularly advantageous in mining and similar environments.
Increased durability and maintenance-friendly due to the ability for re-lubrication.
Flexibility through the availability of two sealing types.
Axial labyrinth seal (TNC): Effective sealing solution for axial requirements.
Radial labyrinth seal (TAU): Optimal for radial sealing needs
The housing must be specially machined to accommodate this installation.
Cast iron is an iron-carbon alloy with a high carbon content, typically between 2.1% and 4%. It is known for its excellent compressive strength, heat resistance, and ease of casting, making it widely used in the construction and mechanical industries. Cast iron is also commonly used in manufacturing cookware and engine components. Despite being brittle and prone to breaking under tensile stress, cast iron provides high stability, durability under compression, and is cost-effective to produce.
